31 Nights of Halloween - Night 17

Hello there!

Welcome back for the 17th night of Halloween Blog Celebration!

My name is Ellenor and I´m new in the Whimsy Stamps creative team. It´s an honour to be part of such  a fantastic talented team!

I have used the gorgeous Hazel for my halloween card, designer Sylvia Zet, I love her designs.
I usually dont add any sentiments on my cards, I think they are more versatile without.

I have used both Copics and Spectrum Noir to colour Hazel.

This little dragon must be the cutest dragon, ever! Or what do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by us tonight, and dont forget to get back tomorrow again, for even more Halloween fun.

Take care.

31 Nights of Halloween Night 16

Hi Everyone!
I am so excited to be here for my first Whimsy post.  My name is Alexandra from Hedgehog Hollow; I am a new design team member, so you will see me regularly over here; plus we have Whimsy Wednesdays on my blog with regular Whimspiration!  All my posts will contain a video tutorial as well, and tonight is no exception.  Let's look at tonight's 31 Nights of Halloween project using Crissy Armstrong's adorable Penguin Trick-or-Treaters rubber stamp image...

Aren't they just the cutest? I had so much fun coloring these in! Let's look at the tutorial, I added in some tips as to how I choose colors for copic coloring too...

I hope you enjoyed seeing how they came together.  Now let's look at their cute little faces again up close...

Thanks so much for joining me here tonight, I can't wait to be back very soon (in fact later this week!), don't forget to stop by every evening for more spooky inspiration and great prizes throughout the month!

Happy Stamping!

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 15

Maria here with a fun card for the 31 Nights of Halloween. How do you like so far this fun month? Our team is just amazing! Lovely work and so much inspiration for you all. All you need is some fun goodies from Whimsy Stamps and a spooky decor.

I made a mini card, because they are so easy to make. To create a card like this you will need to do a bit of stamping, die cutting and lots of ink blending for the background.

For the background I used Sleepy Hollow die and the little birds are from Falling Leaves. I don't always like to add a sentiment. But in this case I really wanted to add the BOO word and for that I used the Brush Script Uppercase Alphabet die. The Sentiment Banner Dies goes really well with the boo word. so I had to add that as the base for my letters.

I hope you like today's card. If you do, please check out the other creations from our team. Remember, you can win goodies this month, so keep an eye on this blog.

Have a creative and safe day!

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 14

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here :)

Can you believe we are on Night 14 of our 31 Nights of Halloween Feature? No, me neither. And how spookily fabulous have the projects been so far?

So, enough of the natter. How do you fancy winning five digis of your choice? All you need to do is leave a comment on this post and we will select a random winner. Easy! You have until 30 October to enter and winners will be posted here on 31 October.

How cute is this little witch? She's from the Friends Till the End Stamp Set by the amazing Deb Davis. I love that she looks like she has had one too many of whatever it is that witches sip by the pool, but still managed to slap on some lippy. Go girl!

I doodled my spider webs. Clearly I also had one too many of whatever it is that witches sip by the pool, because there are cobweb doodles in this stamp set too ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and come back tomorrow night for more Halloween fun!

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 13

Ohhhh, it's Friday the 13th in the month of October and we are celebrating with 31 Nights of Halloween.  Besides the 31st, I think Friday the 13th couldn't be anymore SPOOKY!  This is Melissa and in honor of Friday the 13th, I hope you enjoy this SPOOKY creation!

I used the ADORABLE Owl-oween by Krista Heir-Barber.  This is a high quality edged red rubber stamp.  I colored him in my Copic markers.

Please, how cute is he!?  Because the moon was behind him, I added a bit of highlight on the edges of the image.  I also added some sparkle and white pen for stars and sparkle.  I loved coloring the sentiment too.  I used my toner gray Copics but then again highlighted in a bit of white pen to make the sentiment, that comes with this stamp, pop.

I topped off my SPOOKY creation with some letter stickers and my favorite enamel dots called Summer Breeze and It's a Party.

Don't forget to join us for the rest of the month for lots of inspiration and great prizes!!!  Tomorrow, the talented Faye will be surprising you with a gorgeous creation.

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 12

MichelleO here tonight and Howdy - oh I mean.. BOO!

Today is my day to show off a card for the Whimsy Stamps 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebrations! It has already been so fun to see all the fun and scary cards this month being shared on the Whimsy Blog and we aren't even half way through!

Now I am more a cute Halloween card maker, so when I see images like "Kitten Halloween" from Lee Holland I just giggle. How can you not love a kitten coming out of a jack-o-lantern? Ok, maybe not on a scary night in the dark.. that wouldn't be fun to have a kitten jump out at you. But this kitten in the little smiling pumpkin is just adorable!

I colored with my Copics and found some fun autumn papers from BoBunny's Apple Cider collection. Matched up with a piece of apple green card stock it worked well. All layers with die cut are sewn in place and then for my sentiment... that was tough I wanted to cute but with a Halloween twist. Somehow I though "Peek A Boo" worked. Sort of Scary right? LOL I die cut out the letters with a favorite of mine Whimsy Shapeology's Brush Script Uppercase. Every one needs at least one .. or ten alphabet dies sets! So many uses for well anything!

Then for just a little more I added a few of the fun Whimsy Enamel Dots! Yes I am addicted to these!

Cute little Halloween card for someone special -

Thanks so much for looking and make sure to visit  each night in October to see more SCARY cards... and CUTE cards... and FUN cards!

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 11 with Special Guest Andrea Ockey Parr

Do you ever see a stamp set and know that you absolutely must have it in order for life to continue??  That's how I felt when I saw a stamp and die set called Franken Bad Hair Day.  It was designed by the flippin' fantastically talented Deb Davis for Whimsy Stamps and I was honored when they invited me to participate in their 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration. Here's the card I made featuring the aforementioned lovable Frank set:

So how did I bring Frankie to life?  I started with a cook book page (cause I never use cook books for cooking) and covered it with acrylic paint and Washi tape.

It was looking a little too festive for Frankie, so I added black, white and green acrylic paint, which I smeared on using my fingers.

Next I added my favorite liquid-y paint: Golden High Flow acrylics in teal, black and fluorescent pink.  I spritzed the paint with water to ensure some blending and drizzling.  Then I let it dry..

Next I worked on Frank.  I stamped his head on white paper, then his shoulders on some plaid paper.  I cut his chin-shape out of the plaid paper so that he would have a stylin' shirt.  I smeared some Distress Ink  and Simon Says Stamp ink onto his shirt to give it a bit more oomph.

I tore a square section out of a grammar book and circle-punched a hole through the middle.  I outlined the circle with a Sharpie and glued it to my background.  I stamped the "friend" and "good" sentiments from the stamp set, glued them to some black patterned Washi tape and put Frank together.

I assembled all the components and cut out a triangle hat for Frank (the set comes with the most adorable selection of hats, too) and I added a Washi tape number to the hat.  I finished off the card with some faux stitching from Whimsy's In Stitches stamp set.

Here are the Whimsy products I used on my card:

In Stitches Stamp Set

I love the variety of stamps at Whimsy and thoroughly enjoyed this project.  I can't wait to see what else they have in store for their incredible 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration!

Be sure to check back tomorrow night and every night this month for more
And I'd love for you to visit my blog and say hello from Whimsy Stamps

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 10

Hello and welcome to Night 10 of our 31 Nights of Halloween event. I used the awesome Dracula Bite Me clear stamp set designed by Deb Davis.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out. The sentiment is from the same set, which I stamped using Versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder to make it pop. I cut this into a banner and added some stitching using a white gel pen.

The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye. I cut out a square in the white cardstock before mounting it onto the patterned paper for a little more interest and dimension. I doodled onto the cardstock using a fine black pen and added  some enamel dots from the Christmas Cheer collection for a little color.

I added a pull out tag to the card for a simple sentiment or gift card to be added. I used another image and sentiment from the Dracula Bite Me clear stamp set. I finished it off with some sparkly red ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. Be sure to pop back tomorrow to see our next 31 Nights of Halloween creation!

Happy Crafting :)
